We never see your IB password
You don't log in to IB through PnlTrack. You create a report token in IB's own Client Portal and paste it in — your login never leaves Interactive Brokers.
Reports only, by construction
The token opens IB's Flex Web Service, which does one thing: hand out statements — trades, positions, dividends, fees. Placing orders or moving money simply isn't something this service can do.
Encrypted, direct, in the EU
PnlTrack talks to Interactive Brokers directly — no middlemen. Your token and uploaded statements are stored encrypted on EU servers under GDPR, and we never sell or share your data.
You stay in control

Why I built PnlTrack
I've invested through Interactive Brokers for years.
I kept running into the same problems:
- Portfolio Analyst showed one number
- Excel showed another
- options had to be calculated by hand
- preparing the tax return took hours
After yet another tax season, I decided to build a tool that automatically calculates trades, options and dividends — and prepares the data for the Finnish tax return.

Frequently asked questions
Which brokers do you support?+
Interactive Brokers with automatic Flex Query sync. DEGIRO via CSV upload — trades only, dividends not yet. More brokers coming.
Can I import my full history?+
Interactive Brokers’ Flex Query auto-syncs the last 365 days — that’s IB’s own limit. Older history you upload once via CSV, after which everything updates automatically.
Do you support options and futures?+
Yes, natively. PnL is calculated by strategy (covered calls, cash-secured puts, spreads).
Does it work for covered calls and the wheel?+
Yes. PnL is calculated by strategy, and assignment and partial fills are handled correctly.
Is there a trading journal?+
Yes. Positions carry pattern, strategy, direction, tier and 1R risk; the journal shows result, R-multiple, accuracy and equity per row, and analytics break everything down by those dimensions.
Can PnlTrack trade or move my money?+
No. You never give us your IB login — only a Flex Web Service token, and that service can only deliver reports. Placing orders or withdrawing money is outside what it can do at all, not just something we promise not to do.
How is the Finnish tax calculated?+
Automatically: deemed acquisition cost (20/40%), ECB rates on the correct dates, and ready figures for your tax return.
Does this replace a tax advisor?+
No. We prepare the calculations and ready figures for your tax return — the filing is still your responsibility. Not tax advice.
Is my data safe?+
Yes. The connection is read-only, your token and uploaded statements are stored encrypted on servers in the EU (GDPR), and your data is never sold or shared. You can revoke the token at IB or delete your account whenever you like.
